Our Projects

GR Solutions has been involved in over 500 projects covering all aspects of water treatment and distribution.

We have more than 25 years of experience in potable water treatment solutions

Small Water Treatment Plant Projects (2m3/hour to 20m3/hour)

These projects are done for customers who require a relatively low volume of water – single households, small lodges, game reserves or small rural communities.
The water plants are normally designed in modules of 2m3/hour, 5m3/hour 10m3/hour or 20m3/hour per module.

The material used in the construction of the equipment is primarily fibreglass and pipework is normally PVC. All our plants are custom designed to suit the site specific requirements. It is important to note that no matter how small a water treatment system is, the fundamental principles of the water treatment process have to be
adhered to.

A few examples of the smaller plants that we have built are detailed below:

Medium-sized Water Treatment Plant Projects (20m3/hour to 40m3/hour)

These projects are primarily done for larger rural communities, for small municipalities or for industrial applications. The water plants are normally designed in modules
of 5m3/hour, 10m3/hour, 20m3/hour or 40m3/hour per module.

The material used in the construction of the equipment for these plants is determined by the site requirements. The alternatives available are fibreglass, epoxy-coated mild steel, 3 Cr12 or stainless steel. Pipework is normally stainless steel, galvanised mild steel or PVC depending on site requirements.

A few examples of the medium-sized that we have built are detailed below:

Large Water Treatment Plant Projects
(Greater than 40m3/hour)

These projects are normally done for regional rural community schemes or larger municipalities. The water plants are of a modular design with each module designed to treat 1 Ml/day of water.

As with the medium-sized plants, The material used in the construction of the equipment for the larger plants is determined by the site requirements. The same alternatives are available as for the medium-sized plants. However the steel options are however preferred for these larger plants.

A few examples of the larger plants that we have built are detailed below:

Durnacol Water Treatment Plant

The Durnacol Water Treatment Plant Project is the biggest project carried out by GR Solutions to date. The project was done under the supervision and administration of UWP Consulting Engineers. It was a turnkey project for the civil, mechanical and electrical work required for the construction of a 5 Ml/day water treatment plant.

The civil work was sub-contracted but the complete mechanical and electrical installation was done by GR Solutions. The processes included in the plant are ozonation, activated carbon dosing, coagulant dosing, flocculation in mixing chambers, clarification in lamella plate clarifiers, filtration in pressure filters and disinfection with gas chlorine. The project was successfully commissioned in June 2018.

Pump Stations

GR Solutions is experienced in the mechanical and electrical equipping of pump stations of all descriptions. We are able to do the complete design, fabrication, installation and commissioning of the pipework and motor control centres required for potable water transfer pump stations, raw water abstraction pump stations, submersible pump stations and submersible, immersible or self-priming sewage pump stations. The control circuits of electrical control panels can be designed with either PLC or electrical circuitry and pumps can be either DOL, star delta, soft starter or VSD controlled.

GR Solutions offers a single supplier option for the complete mechanical and electrical equipping and commissioning of pump stations.
